It’s always best to get your contacts from a reliable source, such as an opt-in form on your website, and avoid buying data from sketchy sources. Email lists that are bought from external sources are often full of bad email addresses. Not only is this a waste of money, but it can also cause your email deliverability to suffer and can lead to a high number of bounces.

Monitor Your Bounces and unsubscribes:

Another good way to keep your email list clean is to constantly monitor your bounces and unsubscribes. If you see that you’re getting a lot of bounced emails, that’s a sign that you need to do some cleaning. You can either remove the email addresses that are bouncing or try to reach out to them and see if they’re still interested in receiving your emails. Avoid using certain words:

There are certain words and phrases that can trigger spam filters. If you’re using these words in your email subject lines, there’s a good chance that your emails will end up in people’s spam folders. To avoid this, try to avoid using words like “free,” “win,” or “cash.” Also, spam filters are monitoring email content for things like too many links, too many exclamation points, or using all caps. If your email looks like it could be spam, there’s a good chance that it will end up in people’s spam folders.

Test your email before sending:
