There’s been a lot of chatter over the interwebs in the last few weeks about Google Alerts being buggy, erratic or just plain broken and the rumors are swirling that Alerts might be going the way of Google Reader. Before you cry tears of sorrow, we’ve found a fast and capable replacement touted to be even better than Google Alerts – Meet Talkwalker.

According to the Talkwalker website, you can “Monitor the Web for interesting new content about your name, brand, competitors, events or any favorite topic with Talkwalker Alerts! Talkwalker Alerts are an easy and free alerting service that provides email updates of the latest relevant mentions on the Web directly to your email box or RSS feed reader.”
